Praise for Potluck

The elderly ladies in Lynne Murphy’s condo stories are drawn with sly, often wicked, comedy. They are endearing like your granny, only they get up to trouble trying to help people, led by their ringleader, Charlotte Manners. On the other hand, the novella, A Damaged Heart, brims with black humor, the main character reminiscent of Patricia Highsmith. Kirsty is dealt a bad hand in life and reacts accordingly. But despite her dark nature and misdeeds, she draws us in as we eagerly follow her journey to a surprising finale.

Lynne Murphy knows how to twist a deadly knife without drawing blood. Her stories go down like sweet iced tea on a hot summer day…with a double dose of arsenic. Full of wit, nuance and charm. A fun read!
